Other than war casualties on all sides, illegal immigration in America is most definitely a delicate yet intricate issue that needs to be better resolved with an appropriate manner. There are a myriad of focuses within immigration that require adequate answers to integrating them into the American society.

Iowa immigration raid defendant cases completed
DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Nearly 300 workers arrested last week in an immigration raid at a northeast Iowa meatpacking plant have reached plea deals and face deportation proceedings, authorities say.
The U.S. attorney’s office said Thursday that 302 workers from the Agriprocessors plant in Postville were charged with federal crimes after the May 12 raid. Of those, 297 have pleaded guilty and were sentenced to prison time or probation.
The remaining five have cases pending in federal court. Charges include use of false identification documents and false use of Social Security numbers.
U.S. Attorney Matt M. Dummermuth says the operation was the largest single-site immigration raid in U.S. history.

Imagine yourself as an illegal immigrant incessantly working day in and day out to provide food and shelter for your loved ones either in your native country or a home near you, and then you were abruptly taken hostage by government officials. All the restless nights has now bundled up to an ever-more devastating impact on your family. As the sole provider and head of the family, how would you feel when you realize you will spend at least 6 months in Federal prison preceding a deportation? And also knowing that earning a living in your native country is literally a waste of time when you can make higher wages in America. Unfortunately, the time spent in prison is also a waste of taxpayers $ and time for guilty person. There is a high percentage of deported people that are not reluctant to stay in their native land. If you know you can make more $ for your family, why not go back to a COUNTRY THAT PROVIDE that(those) benefit(s)?
Ok now imagine yourself as a government official, whether as a Federal Court Judge, ICE officer, Federal prison guard, or a Customs and Borders Protection officer. Each of those jobs are important with their own detailed duties and responsibilities; however, would you feel that even with more resources (confinement space, prison food, taxpayer $ [more flooded for Iraq], that your day job would be any easier? Regardless the problem is still growing and it will continue at an exponential rate until a bipartisan agreement occurs in the future. Also, something a bit more tangible such as HONEST & LAW-ABIDING OFFICIALS throughout the entire immigration spectrum is required to fulfill AMERICA’S PROMISE of “…a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity…”
Lastly, imagining yourself as child of illegal immigrant parents, could you believe that you have to stay in foster care being surrounded by other children. Would you be scared to death? Where do you turn when you need to get a hug, or shed a tear for no blameless reason? How long would it take you to get the courage to go back to school and receive a decent education, even if permitted by school officials?…..The despair & downfall of America’s bright future…begins with our children.
Coming up later this week I will brief you on the other perspective of Illegal immigration’s atrocities.

The world needs many more voices of balance, sense and decency to speak out on immigration; well done for being one of the positive voices.
PS The Iowa immigration raid smells badly of corruption in high places.

I am in law school to advocate for pro-immigration, for legalizing immigrants in a much more appropriate and just manner that does not effect the innocent or those with “good moral behavior.” To me, deporting innocent immigrants, whether legal or illegal, is injustice to the our American values. I am conducting research on how deportations effect families.
