Statement on Recent Incidents at San Diego State University

May 9, 2008

Delta Sigma Phi made an official statement regarding the recent incidents at San Diego State University. Please see below for that statement:

As a leader in the interfraternal community, Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity is concerned about the events that transpired yesterday at San Diego State University. The actions of those involved are not consistent with what this organization or the fraternal movement represents.

Since learning of these events, the Fraternity has been in contact with the Gamma Alpha Chapter, local volunteers and the University. Based on each of those conversations, there has been no evidence to suggest that the Gamma Alpha Chapter or any of its members are involved with these events.

Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity expects its chapters and members to adhere to the organization’s Risk Management Policies and member Code of Conduct at all times.
